Hi! I’m Taylor!

“I inspire individuals and organizations to embrace neurodiversity, overcome challenges, and unlock their full potential through innovative leadership perspectives and compelling storytelling drawn from my experiences in sports, disability advocacy, and personal growth.”

Diagnosed with autism at the age of 4, Taylor (b. 1995) often faced stigmas throughout his childhood and teenage years; facing countless rejections from inclusion in the same sports opportunities as his peers. Early in his life, he wasn’t able to participate in those social and physical opportunities due to speech issues, sensory issues, and anxiety issues. Thanks to the help of his Mother, mentors, coaches, God, and others who did not believe in giving up, Taylor powered through the negative perceptions of capabilities; experiencing the calling to give back to others less fortunate than himself throughout and beyond America’s Pastime… Baseball!

In 2016, Taylor used his passion and courage to found Alternative Baseball as a means to mentor and coach teens and adults with disabilities in ways that prepared them for success in baseball and in life; teaching social skills, teamwork skills, and communication skills in ways that aid with community integration. The Organization has grown from one small group of 6 people to developing active programs in 12 states throughout America; further adding a leadership program and piloting both a street variant of baseball and eBaseball to its activities to expand opportunities beyond the scope of the traditional ABO program. Today, Taylor consults for the development of community sports programming for children and those living in other countries throughout the globe.

Having spoken to crowds around the world and becoming an innovative, creative mind in the spaces of sport and disability, Taylor continues to promote messages that emphasize the need for acceptance and community integration of people with disabilities in the workplace, recreation programs, churches, and every other facet of life possible. Through Taylor’s speaking and teaching through immersive storytelling, Taylor aims to help you find and encourage the growth of your own talents in ways that challenge any negative stigmas in society!
